e quad q
I've had nothing but problems with this Equad Battery connectors have broken twice, front brake caliper was seized from day 1, horn fell off, squeeks that i can't find to lubricate, be my last ROSSO quad
Best ATV for kids (from Grandpa)
(from 6 yr old Peter). "I really like this ATV. Thanks for letting me buy it!" I really like the lights and the horn and I take my keys out every time I get off.
Smaller than expected
The quad is cute. However, much smaller than we expected. My five year old fits perfectly on the there but we were expecting him to grow into it, not grow out of it in about a year. I wouldn’t spend this amount of money on a four wheeler this size. It was relatively easy to put together. That is the only plus side.
Grand daughter loves loves loves it!
Good but not amazing?
My honest review after having this for a few months… kids loves it and the battery seems to last long enough which is over an hour but you can see a power loss when approaching the end. Shipping was great, managed to get it shipped directly to my cottage for a few extra bucks and dealing with Rosso was easy for this plus getting the information I needed prior to purchase. When the unit arrived, assembly was straightforward with a few simple steps however this is where I was a bit surprised at the quality… Some of the bolt holes did not align which made assembly of the bumper and battery insertion somewhat a challenge. During this process I noticed the overall weld of the frame was a bit lopsided?! While not a huge deal, but following behind the unit you notice the brake light being crooked and it sits somewhat lopsided as well. The battery set up is another issue. You have to swap the connection with the charger vs just plugging a charger on a simple port. This is tough because I can’t just teach my kid to do it, and not because he can’t, it’s more so because of the spark that pops when you reconnect the unit after a charge. The connector is also tight to get at each time so it would have been nice to have a better charging process. The decal and sticker assembly was decent although I don’t know how long they’ll last. The Gear selector is a bit stiff and the sticker around it will definitely fall off in time. The area around it doesn’t really match the sticker so it doesn’t sit flat. The brakes and general build of the unit are fairly solid however and while the brakes could use some tuning for easier stopping power, everything else feels rugged and off road ready. Speed selection is good however the slower 2 speeds can struggle getting up cottage road hills somewhat. This is where I would have been more please with some motor balance from an electric motor. Maybe I don’t know them that well? The top speed has the best power but at full speed on flat straight road is too much for an eager 6 year old boy. Maybe we’re just caught in between speeds… Lights are all fun and the horn is loud to pop before tough corners visibility wise. Again overall I’m generally happy with the purchase with a few quirks that didn’t fully warrant a 5 star rating. I am picky to a degree but I feel my expectations are legitimate given the pricing you pay for these things. I have yet to test in colder weather however and battery strength and longevity is my primary concern. We’ve tried a few 24v ride ones and they’ve been a terrible waste of money and time. So far though, this machine has been worth the price and hope to use it for both my kids over the next few years.
